The “Amais Ofir houses” are part of the Modernist Architecture Route, designed by the architect Alfredo Magalhães, one of the drivers of the tourist development of Fão (Ofir).
As the Visite Esposende page states:
“The journey that is proposed is understood temporally between the 1940s and the 1970s of the 20th century. The horizon, the landscape of Esposende has the benefit or even the attribute of being ornamented by the essence of “MOMENTS” of architecture, such as a field painted with poppies that is toasted to us in spring. Today, these “MOMENTS” are expressed in a unique landscape where the green, the water, the light embraces us and gives continuity, hiding the secrets reserved to the attentive observer. While making the itinerary, we have selected some of the single words: feel, observe, move, analyze, meditate, evaluate, uncover, interact and also apprehend the experience of the spaces, their relationship with the forms, the textures of the surfaces, the light and the color.”
